Privacy policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Baranor Intelligence, Inc. (“CAN Recruitment,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or use the CAN Recruitment platform (together, the “Services”).
1. Who we are
Baranor Intelligence, Inc., 30 N. Gould St., Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact: hello@canrecruitment.com. For website visitors, we are the data controller. When we process data on behalf of client organizations within the platform, we act as a service provider (processor) under our agreement with that client.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, work email, organization, and the details you share when you inquire or communicate with us.
- Account information: login credentials and user settings for platform users.
- Client content: data our clients upload or connect to the platform, such as prospect lists and notes.
- District and public data: aggregated demographic, geographic, electoral, and other publicly available or licensed data used to build district-level insight.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar information, collected through essential cookies and—only with your consent where required—analytics and advertising tools. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- To respond to inquiries and manage client relationships.
- To generate AI-assisted screening and matching outputs requested by clients. These outputs support—never replace—human decisions.
- To measure website performance and, with consent where required, to run and measure marketing.
- To comply with law and enforce our agreements.
Legal bases (EU/UK): performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Services, your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. AI and your data
We do not use customer content to train generalized public AI models, unless otherwise agreed in writing. When AI features are used, relevant content may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate requested outputs. Those providers may retain inputs and outputs for limited abuse monitoring, safety, and reliability purposes, according to their policies. AI outputs are recommendations; people make the final recruitment decisions.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host, secure, and operate the Services (including cloud hosting and AI providers), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Analytics and advertising partners (such as Google, Meta, and LinkedIn), only if you consent or do not opt out where the law allows.
- Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Security
We use encryption and security controls for data in transit and for sensitive data at rest. Data transmission is protected using HTTPS/TLS in production flows, and specific sensitive fields (such as certain authentication and API key secrets) are encrypted at rest. Some storage-layer encryption controls depend on deployment infrastructure configuration. No system is perfectly secure, and we continuously review our safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet our contractual obligations to clients, or as required by law. Clients may request deletion of their content at the end of an engagement.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EU, EEA, or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where required. EU/UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email hello@canrecruitment.com. We will verify your request and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If our processing is on behalf of a client, we will direct your request to that client.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a revised date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
